The Sun-Pure System embodies unique purification technologies not found in other air purifiers.

Advanced computerized electronic controls monitor air quality in real time for toxic fumes, gasses and particles to protect home owners and office workers against harmful air quality. The illuminated control panel can be easily seen in a darkened room (see above detail image).

Infrared motion detectors automatically reduce power consumption when there is no movement or dust making activity in the home or work place.

A sleep mode reduces the sound level at night while still purifying the room at 70% of normal capacity.

A four stage filtration system removes particles as small as 0.1 microns (1/10 the size of bacteria) combined with 2 layers of gas absorption media to remove toxic fumes and odors.

An ultraviolet photo oxidation chamber kills bacteria and viruses too small to be removed by even the finest filters. Ultraviolet light creates residual activated oxygen and negative ions, keeping the air clean and fresh in exactly the same way sunlight and oxygen cleans the air we breath in the outdoor environment.

Manufactured of high impact ABS plastic, the Sun-Pure SP-20 has been designed so simple that the replacement of filters and U.V. lamp can be accomplished in minutes by the user without tools.

Filter Unit number one: the first gas absorption layer and (5) micron prefilter. This first filter unit can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner (about every 6 months). It should be changed occasionally (about every 2 years).

Filter Unit number two: the second gas absorption layer and hospital grade Hepa filter. This second filter unit can NOT be cleaned and should be changed when the control panel indicates replacement; very important for maximum performance.

A replacement ultra violet lamp for the Sun-Pure...Model SP-20. These U.V. lamp units last approximately one year or the equivalent elapsed time of one year. Change this lamp when the control panel indicates replacement. At that point it will appear to be working as well as ever but in fact the Ultra Violet output level will be below safe standards.
